In no event shall The Online Blind Company be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential damages of for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense or fee. This guarantee does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights under applicable national laws in force. We hope you’ll agree that our guarantee is plain, simple and transparent. Fitting Instructions

Step One

Outside Recess
If the blind is to be fitted outside the window ensure that
measurement C is the same. C is simply equal to A minus B,
divided by two. Follow instructions for FACE FIXING.

Inside Recess
If TOP FIXING, fix to the lintel if the window frame is uPVC
or if there are no obstructions. If FACE FIXING, fit bracket to
the window frame.

 

Step Two

Hold each bracket into place and mark the hole positions.
Fit each bracket using 2 screws provided.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step Three

Holding the fully-wound blind, insert the idle pin end into
the bracket as shown.

 

 

 

 

 

With the idle pin end in place, insert the control end into
the opposite bracket. Ensure that the blind has clicked
into place using the centre lug.

 

 

 

Step Four

Gently pull the chain to raise and lower the blind

 

 

 

 

 

 

WARNING

WHERE POSSIBLE BLIND CHAIN SHOULD BE OPERATED FROM JUST ABOVE THE CHAIN CONNECTOR AS THIS PUTS LESS PRESSURE ON THIS COMPONENT, REDUCING THE RISK OF SNAPPING OR PULLING APART.

Measuring Instructions

Before you start to measure you must first decide whether you would like your roller blind to hang inside or outside the window recess.

Roller Blind Inside window recess

How to Measure for roller blinds inside the window recess:

1. First measure the width in 3 different positions inside the window recess from wall to wall. You should take measurements from the top, the middle and the bottom. You should then use the smallest measurement as the width of your blind.
2. Next measure the Drop (height) in 3 different positions inside the recess from the top of the recess to the window sill. The most important measurement to write down is the Largest one.
3. Finally select the inside recess fitting option and select the unit you used to measure your window with (mm, cm or inches). You can now enter these values into the window measurements section to order your blinds from The Online Blind Company.

NOTE: We will make appropriate deductions so your blind fits perfectly.

Roller Blind Outside Window Recess

How to Measure for roller blinds outside the window recess:

1. First measure the width of your window then add at least 7.5cm to allow the blind to overlap the window width.
2. Second measure the drop (height) of your window and again add at least 7.5cm this time to allow for overlap of the window height.
3. Finally select the outside recess fitting option and select the unit you used to measure your window with (mm, cm or inches). You can now enter these values into the window measurements section to order your blinds from The Online Blind Company.

Child Safety Information

All of our online made to measure blinds at The Online Blind Company are supplied with safety in mind. We strive to offer only the safest possible products and where necessary we provide relevant safety devices with all of the made to measure blinds we deliver.

To comply with the British safety standard EN13120 you must install these devices together with your blind, we provide in depth details on how to do this with every blind ordered online from The Online Blind Company. All of the safety devices we provide are compliant with UK law and have been thoroughly tested.

If your made to measure blind from The Online Blind Company arrives without any accompanying safety device then it is probably because the blind is already safe by its design i.e. their are no hanging loops or cords.

Whilst The Online Blind Company provide the relevant safety devices, it is important to exercise due caution and ensure that beds, cots and other items of furniture are moved away from the blinds operating cords so as to ensure that they are out of reach of small children.
